Total Shoulder Replacement Surgery

Four little words, one big commitment. At Coordinated Health it’s what we do all day every day, and we’ve got it down to a science after 28 years and thousands of reps.

If conservative treatments like medication and cortisone injections have failed to relieve your shoulder pain from either arthritis or injury you may want to consider a shoulder replacement. During a shoulder replacement, damaged cartilage is removed and replaced with a highly polished metal ball attached to a stem and a plastic socket. At Coordinated Health, shoulder replacements are done as an in-patient procedure and generally require patients to stay two to three days.

Meet the Doctors

"I couldn’t believe how well I did. I literally went to my son’s basketball game the night of my surgery. I was in a wheelchair, but I was able to go and now I’m finally able to keep up with my three boys.

- Debbie A. , Hazleton

"Dr. Scarpino is truly an artist. He did an amazing job. I feel like I have the hips of a 20-year-old. I can do the things I wasn’t able to do before, like ride my bike, go for walks, and just move around without pain.

- Peter G., Allentown, PA

"I didn’t want to be a burden to my family, because they have jobs and families and their schedules are tight. And I wanted to be in a place where I would be trained how to handle getting around my own home.

- Shirley E., Bethlehem
